Department of Computer Science

Computer Science Department has been established at NUST- PNEC in June 2025. The primary objective of the department in to effective run and manage the BSCS and MS Data Science Programs which has been launched w.e.f Fall 2025 after obtaining NOC from NCEAC & HEC in July 2025. Our aim is to make it centre of Academic Excellence in field of Computing Research in Pakistan and the World.

Welcome to the Department of Computer Science at PNEC-NUST. Our vision is to be a global leader in computer science education and research and fostering innovations that make a significant positive impact on society. The department’s commitment to excellence is reflected in our comprehensive curriculum. We offer a variety of programs including BS (Computer Science) MS (Cyber Security) and MS (Data Science). MS Cyber Security at NUST-PNEC is the first program with this title in Pakistan. Our programs provide a solid foundation in the theoretical aspects of computer science, advanced programming techniques, and specialized expertise in contemporary computer applications. Faculty of Computer Science is committed to provide an attractive opportunity for students with dedicated and competent faculty and vibrant academic atmosphere. It is the only most beautiful constituent college of NUST in Southern Pakistan. We ensure that our graduates are not only ready to excel in the job market but also are well-prepared to pursue advanced studies and entrepreneurial ventures. Our faculty members are recognized for their high-quality publications, international collaborations, and robust industry partnerships. Their dedication to impactful research addresses real-world challenges and keeps our students up-to-date with the development and usage of cutting edge technologies.
