Students of Semester V-B2-ME Visited Lotte Chemical Pakistan Limited (LCPL)

On 23 Oct 2024, Students of Semester V-B2, ME, visited Lotte Chemical Pakistan Limited (LCPL), accompanied by faculty Members Lt Cdr. Dr. Asif Khan and Mr. Arslan Ahmed. The visit provided valuable practical insights into industrial processes and machinery manufacturing, enhancing students’ understanding of mechanical engineering principles through real-world applications. LCPL, the sole producer of Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) in Pakistan, operates a state-of-the-art plant at Port Qasim, Karachi, with an annual capacity of 500,000 tonnes. PTA is a crucial raw material for producing polyester fiber, filament yarn, film, and PET. LCPL plays a vital role in supporting the polyester industry in Pakistan by offering high-quality production, local supply, and excellent customer service.
