IMechE Formula Students UK 2021 Virtual
-Formula Student (FS) is world’s biggest engineering design competition which takes place annually in which different teams from all over the globe represents different countries and showcase their student version of formula style car. From Pakistan there were three teams out of which two were from NUST-PNEC. One team participated with a Combustion Vehicle and the other one participated with an Electric Vehicle.
Due to Covid lockdown situation in the country, teams participated virtually in the competition on 22nd July 2021 instead of travelling to UK and with all the hard work of students and with the blessings of Allah SWT, teams managed to achieve remarkable positions and even showed improvement.
The rankings of the NUST Formula Student Team (NFST) (Combustion Vehicle) are as follows:
Engineering Design Event : 3rd position out of 65 teams
Cost Event : 8th position out of 65 teams

Overall Position : 15th position out of 65 teams
The rankings of the Formula Electric Racing NUST (FERN) (Electric Vehicle) are as follows:
Engineering Design Event : 3rd position out of 66 teams
Cost Event : 20th position out of 66 teams
Overall Position : 18th position out of 66 teams
