Dr. Muhammad Usama received BS and MS degrees in Software Engineering from the Bahria University, Karachi in 2005 and 2009, respectively and a PhD degree from University Technology Petronas, Malaysia in 2018. Currently he is working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Cyber Security, Pakistan Navy Engineering College, NUST, Karachi. Before joining NUST, he worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science, FAST-NU University, Karachi and completed his post-doctoral research studies from Qatar University, Doha, Qatar. He also held a researcher position at the King Saud University, Riyad, Saudi Arabia. Dr. Muhammad Usama research interests includes Big data security, Cloud computing security, Information security and cryptography and Applied secure computation for machine learning applications. He has around 17 years of experience that spans industry, research and teaching and has published articles in various highly reputed journals and conferences. Dr. Muhammad Usama has taught various courses in the area of computer science and cyber security.
