Dr. Muhammad Farrukh Qureshi is an Associate Professor at NUST-PNEC with over a decade of expertise in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Dr. Qureshi’s expertise spans the full deployment spectrum: from advanced sensing and signal processing to the optimization of novel neural architectures for resource-constrained environments. He specializes in hardware-software co-design, utilizing FPGAs, RISC-V architectures, and modern compiler technologies (MLIR/TFLite) to bridge the gap between abstract AI models and real-world hardware execution. With 25+ peer-reviewed publications (17 in high-impact journals), 400+ citations, and an h-index of 12, Dr. Qureshi is a researcher in AI-driven signal processing and medical diagnostics. Before joining NUST, Dr. Qureshi served as an Assistant Professor and Senior Researcher at Namal University, Mianwali. At NUST-PNEC, Dr. Qureshi is establishing a premier research group dedicated to Hardware-Aware AI. His mission is to develop multidisciplinary collaborations between academia and the industry, ensuring that the next generation of Pakistani engineers is at the forefront of the global Edge AI revolution.
