I hold a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering, along with a Master’s degree in Mechanical and Automotive Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy and Materials Engineering. I have nearly 13–14 years of combined experience in academia and industry, with strong involvement in teaching, research, and applied engineering projects. My academic career includes teaching and research positions at leading institutions, including Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIKI) and the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST). Currently, I am serving as a faculty member in the Department of Engineering Sciences at Pakistan Naval Engineering College (PNEC), NUST, Karachi. My research interests focus on materials design, smart and functional materials, thin films, piezoelectric and acoustic energy harvesting, and advanced manufacturing techniques. I have supervised undergraduate research projects and Final Year Projects (FYPs) and have actively contributed to curriculum development, laboratory establishment, and academic administration. In addition to academia, I have industry experience and entrepreneurial involvement, including the establishment of a home-based technology venture focused on laser-based fabrication and product development. I am also engaged in developing a small-scale research and innovation setup aimed at applied materials research and prototype development. I am committed to advancing research, innovation, and high-quality engineering education, with a strong emphasis on bridging the gap between academic research and industrial applications.
