Dr. Fawad Ahmed Professor, Department of Cyber Security Pakistan Navy Engineering College Fawad Ahmed received BE degree in Industrial Electronics from the Institute of Industrial Electronics Engineering, NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi in 1994, an MS degree in Systems and Controls from The University of New South Wales Australia in 1998 and a PhD degree from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore in 2010. Currently he is working as a Professor in the Department of Cyber Security, Pakistan Navy Engineering College, NUST. Before joining NUST, he worked as an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, HITEC University Taxila. Dr Ahmed’s research interests include application of artificial intelligence in healthcare and other domains, image authentication using robust hashing and image encryption. He has around 27 years of experience that spans industry, research and teaching and has published articles in journals, conferences and book chapters. Dr. Ahmed has taught various courses in the area of cyber security, electrical engineering, digital image processing, computer vision, programming and machine learning.
