It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you to the Faculty of Applied Sciences at Pakistan Navy Engineering College (PNEC). The Department of Applied Sciences continues to build on a tradition of excellence and innovation in research, teaching and services to create a vibrant community of faculty which ensures that undergraduate students are ready to make a difference at national and international levels. We are committed to hone leadership and communication skills in our students which transform them into the most sought - after individuals, equipped with professional skills to pursue their careers. Keeping ourselves aligned with PNEC's Academic Mission to provide high quality, student-centered learning experiences, the quality and drive of our faculty and their commitment to excellence enables students to develop focus in selected areas of studies by integrating a rich understanding of communication theory and research. We ensure the development of marketable skills and abilities in our students to take leadership positions in their communities. Being a technology-focused faculty, we never underestimate the importance of keeping abreast of changing industry trends. Therefore, reviewing of curricula in line with the valuable input of our External Advisory Council of industry partners is a regular feature at our department. Owing to the increasing importance of Chinese Language Learning in the wake of CPEC, we have introduced Chinese Language Course for undergraduate students as an optional subject. Furthermore, Arabic Language Course has also been introduced so as to inculcate religious values in the students through a better understanding of Qur'an. We also provide ample opportunities to our students to take part in extracurricular activities. For this purpose, literary and debating societies have been formed for organizing events and creating opportunities for the students.
