He possesses both professional-industrial as well as teaching and research experiences. He is a highly dedicated and caring faculty member and over the years, he has earned a great reputation among the students and faculty. Furthermore, he has a passion for teaching. Likewise, he strives to explore new ideas, technologies, and concepts. * Engr. Dr. Nusrat Husain is currently serving as the Head of the Postgraduate Program (HoPGP) in the Department of Electronics & Power Engineering. He has done jobs related to organizing industrial visits, internships, job drives, and industrial open houses for students while serving as a departmental industrial liaison officer (ILO). He also assisted them in getting foreign scholarships for higher studies. He has also played a great role in college self-assessment programs, PEC accreditation visits, unified and OBE-based curriculum development, designing power-related courses for graduate students, organizing IEEE IC4 conferences, and establishing MoUs between NUST and Foreign Universities. Furthermore, he has shown special interest in the areas of personal character building and professional ethics. * Beyond his teaching and services, he is also actively involved in research and development activities. He did his doctorate in the field of “High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) Transmission Systems and Control of Power Electronics Converters”. He wrote many research papers related to Advanced Power Systems, Instrumentation and Controls, Optimization Algorithms, and Applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning; published in different journals and conferences. Not only that, but he also offered editorial services to many journals and conferences.
